Killer Whales hungry again

THE fast-approaching new rugby season is starting on the right boot once again for the Evans River Killer Whales.

The club's senior team will host the annual Village competition's rugby 10s tournament to kick off what is looking to be an even more competitive season.

This year the Village competition is expanding to include teams from Grafton, Lismore, Mallanganee and Ballina, taking it to an impressive 12 teams.

10s Tournament

The 10s tournament will be held at Stan Payne Oval in Evans Head on Saturday.

Drinks and food will be available at the ground, with the first game kicking off at noon.

Come along for some exciting rugby and a great day.

New Players Welcomed

Training for the regular season and 10s competition has already started for the Killer Whales on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6.30pm at Stan Payne Oval.

Anyone interested in playing or being a part of Evans River Rugby should contact club president Jeff Davey on 0432 765 851 for more information.

Junior Killer Whales

Evans River Rugby is also looking forward to another great season for its junior teams, whose competition is played on Friday nights and caters for under-8s, 10s, 12s and hopefully an under-14 side this year.

Anyone who is interested in playing or being part of Evans River Junior Rugby should contact Ben Fisher on 0419 640 799.
