Killer fat takes over from smokes

In the news:

Did you hear?

Obesity is now Australia's No 1 killer, even higher than smoking.

We need to put down the fork (and the pork).

Stand up now, do a couple of squats and at lunchtime today - go for a walk around the block.

What can be done to cut down the obesity rate?

Maybe all eating should be banned in public places???

I've recently been on a health kick myself and lost 12 kilos. But I'm still technically obese. And yet I feel better than I have for a long time and I'm fitter.

I worked my butt off (literally) to lose the weight but according to the science, I still have a long way to go.

Sitting on the other side of 12 kilos though, I feel a heck of a lot better and my doctor says I'm less likely to get diabetes, heart disease, and the rest.

If you have some tips on how to keep shedding the kilos, share them along with your thoughts below.

Obviously, we could all use the help.

Have a laugh:

A migraine has left a British woman with a Chinese accent.

She suddenly started speaking with a Chinese accent after suffering a severe migraine.

The 35-year-old from Plymouth is now undergoing speech therapy to fix her accent.

She said when she calls her friends they hang up on her because they think she is a hoax caller.
