Kevin Hogan declares his support for same-sex marriage

PAGE MP Kevin Hogan has become the third federal Nationals MP to publicly come out in support for same-sex marriage.

Following National Party colleagues Darren Chester and indigenous affairs minister Nigel Scullion, revealling their stance on the matter, Mr Hogan also declared his support - on the condition that churches won't be forced to marry same-sex couples.

"If those protections are there though and I'm comfortable that those protections are there (I will support it)," Mr Hogan told ABC radio this morning.

Mr Hogan added he would prefer the people to have a say in a plebiscite.
