Kelso resigns from soccer role

FOOTBALL Far North Coast general manager Matt Kelso, has announced his resignation after eight years.

Kelso will take up a community development role with the Australian Sports Commission, filling a vacancy in its Ballina office.

The appointment of Kelso in 2001 was a radical departure from the traditional community volunteer committee on the Far North Coast.

Football FNC president Michael Gaertner said: “Matt has used his passion for the game to deliver our business plan to great effect and has (helped) build an organisation which is the envy of football administrations across Northern NSW.

Kelso will end his term with Football FNC on November 28.
