Keep the kids entertained and engaged with Rous Water
THERE'S heaps of fun and learning available for children at Rous Water this School Holidays.
Come and explore the Rainforest Reserve flora and fauna at Rocky Creek Dam in the School Holidays.
On Wednesday July 1 or 8, join the Rous Water Bush Regeneration Team on a guided walk featuring 30 years of rainforest regeneration at the Dam, 1.30-3.30pm.
Sturdy shoes and appropriate dress is needed for this outdoor activity.
Make a day of exploration and discovery activities by spending the morning at Water Lab Wednesdays (July 1 and 8) with fun water experiments, investigations and games.
The Water Lab is a new school holiday activity for children 5 to 10 years old with a supervising adult. The Lab opens at 10am and closes at 3pm (last entry 2pm) at Dorroughby Environmental Education Centre, 2101 Dunoon Road.
Water Lab Wednesdays started in the January School Holidays with 10 water challenges.
These holidays find some old and some new activities including; viewing water beetles under microscopes, making and floating boats, creating magic water stars, stopping bubbles in mid-air and making water power a toy car.
