Kadina shrugs off wet weather

THE rain came and it stayed, but it failed to dampen the spirits of students at Kadina's swimming carnival last week.

Year 12 student Abby Vantaggiato said it was a fun event and "everybody is wet anyway".

"We might as well just enjoy it and get into the events and give our all," she said.

"Everybody's enthusiasm has kept up. It takes more than a bit of rain to stop us. We're the best; we're from Kadina.

"It's been good today. We've had a shark rescue when Jaws wanted to be in the pool, but he couldn't swim by himself. The boys who saved him were pretty awesome.

"I expect that Kadina will be well represented at the zone carnival later this month."
