QUIET FEROCITY is indie rock band The Jungle Giants' latest album, released last month.

The band will be visiting Byron Bay next week to play some of the singles from this album that have become instant hits on radio and online.

The new album, which debuted on #11 on the ARIA charts, showcases a seamless creative pairing of song-writing and diverse production methods.

Lead single Feel The Way I Do is sitting on more than 2.5 million Spotify streams.

Frontman Sam Hales is happy the new album has had such a great initial reception and said the band is happy to be coming to play in Byron Bay once more.

"For us it's always been a show that we really want to put in the tour, Byron is always a good crowd and always a really good turn out," he said.

"Sometimes I'll stay the night, visit our friends, hit the beach if possible and the next day we'll go back to Brisbane."

Sam Hales said the band's new sound is because of changes he made in the way the album was written and produced.

"I can say that I am completely stoked with the outcome," he said.

"This record was more formative for me that anything I've ever done.

"I feel like all of it was not entirely conscious but it was based on a decision: to try something new when I was writing."

"One thing I never changed before this record was the hours of input, I would have my studio in my bedroom and I would be writing in short bursts whenever it came.

"This time I had a record studio and I went to work from 9am to 5pm.

"I got the writing room and studio in a bunker-type set up, with couches and a coffee table, and I put all the instruments and computer in a one big cockpit, so I could reach them with my swivel chair."
