Join Green Army for gap year

HAVE you just received your HSC results but not sure what to do now?

If you are considering a gap year, Green Army may be for you.

Would you like to grow and plant koala food trees, construct boardwalks and walking tracks or help restore Big Scrub rainforest?

Places are now available for young people aged 17 to 24 to join Green Army teams at Ballina, Lismore and Byron Bay.

Participants receive an allowance from $10.14 to $16.45 an hour over 30 hours (four days) each week. Projects run for 23 weeks.

Applications are encouraged from school leavers, gap year students, graduates and job seekers.

Green Army delivers tangible benefits to the North Coast environment and provides young people with skills, training and experience to help them enter the workforce or improve their career opportunities.

Projects are supported by the Government's Green Army Program and EnviTE Environment, Friends of the Koala, Big Scrub Landcare and NSW National Parks and Wild-life Service.
