Jogger struck by hit-and-run driver

A TEENAGER was hit by a car on a pedestrian crossing  at Lennox Head on Wednesday.

About 7am the 15-year-old girl was jogging east along Byron St at Lennox Head, and while crossing the pedestrian crossing she was struck by a car.

Police said the driver of the vehicle stopped to ask if she was okay, however, then left without leaving any details.

The teenager did not sustain any serious injuries.

Police are seeking assistance from the community to identify the driver.
