Jersey Boys is a jukebox hit

Jersey Boys - M - Drama/Musical - 134mins - Now Showing

Verdict: A jukebox phenomenon.

Jersey Boys, directed by Clint Eastwood, stars John Lloyd Young, Erich Bergen, Michael Lomenda and Christopher Walken.

It follows the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

This movie has been receiving very mixed reactions from critics and audiences.

The performances in this movie are absolutely fantastic.

Clint Eastwood decided to cast people who were in the Broadway play.

He wanted people who knew the songs, and the story.

John Lloyd Young portrayed Frankie Valli with conviction and emotion.

Clint Eastwood's directing style has been panned by critics because critics wanted a lighter approach to the story.

The story and the music are definitely two different components, which is unfortunately a flaw with the movie.

In one scene, the movie would be presenting a dramatic component, but, in the next scene a show tune would be playing which ruined the whole mood.

The screenplay is one of the best all year.

The characters are well developed and are interesting to watch.

The story evolves at a steady pace, but the film overall definitely could've been 10 or so minutes shorter.

Jersey Boys overall is one of the best cinematic experiences all year.

The music is absolutely amazing.

Clint Eastwood's directing is good, but definitely not the right approach for this kind of film.

The script is one of the best of the year so far.

The performances are great and clear chemistry between the four boys is established.
