Jeepers are driven to be adventurous souls
IF IT was dirt and 4WD you were after, then the annual Camp Coffs at Nana Glen was the place to be.
Jeeps of all shapes and sizes, driven by enthusiasts from across the east coast, took advantage of the six-day event to test their vehicles under a range of conditions, and of course shoot the breeze with a few good friends.
Camp organiser Michael Bowen said the camp, which ended yesterday, was more popular than ever.
"We had around 300 jeeps and their families and the weather really turned it on for us," Mr Bowen said.
"It was just good because some people could go down to the beach and some would come out to some of the tracks with us."
The event has become part of an annual event for Jeep Action Magazine, which sponsors the camp.
"We had people from right across the east coast, from Queensland and the ACT. It was a massive ordeal," Mr Bowen said.
"One of the days we went out to some of the gold mines and bush tracks around there which made for some great four-wheel-driving."
