Jamie Oliver and Woolworths to inspire a healthier Australia

Jamie Oliver, Woolies to bring fresh food to families

WOOLWORTHS has announced today they will partner with much-loved chef and fresh food campaigner Jamie Oliver, to inspire a healthier Australia.

The partnership will focus on bringing healthier and affordable fresh food to everyday Australians, giving them the information to prepare great tasting fresh meals at home.

"Together our aim is to inspire Aussies to cook more fresh food from scratch and to have fun with it, all safe in the knowledge that they're feeding themselves and their families with quality, affordable and local ingredients they can trust," said Jamie Oliver.

As part of the partnership, Jamie has been working with Woolworths on a number of changes that are already underway.

All caged whole eggs sold in-store will be phased out by 2018, including those used in Own Brand products.

Woolworths will also move to RSPCA or equivalent approved standards for all fresh chicken sold in-store by the end of next year.

Jamie Oliver has been inspiring people all over the world to cook and eat better food for 15 years.

His charity, the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation, works tirelessly to raise the profile of food education through its work in communities and schools in the UK, US and Australia.
