Happy 140th birthday Northern Star
Happy 140th birthday Northern Star Northern Star

It’s our birthday soon and we have our first best wishes

WE ARE turning 140 on Friday, May 13, and want you to celebrate.

The Northern Star will publish a special 32-page feature looking back on the events and people that have made our region what it is today.

This nostalgic trip back in time will also look at some of the workers behind the scenes who have shaped the news and been guardians of this legacy for much of that long history.

The Northern Star is one of the oldest continuous businesses still in operation on the Northern Rivers.

It has covered everything from fires, floods and cyclones to royal visits.

If you would like to send your congratulations to us for our birthday, we would be happy to publish them.

A letter of congratulations

Happy 140th birthday and congratulations to the Northern Star on your long contribution to journalism and the community.

It would be nice to think you will be around in some shape or form in 140 years' time.
