It's a race to the top

BOTH Trinity Catholic College and St Johns Catholic College are in the running to be champions of the Marist schools netball tournament in Lismore after two days’ play. Both the local teams won through to the championship division on Monday before playing a round-robin against the top-ranked teams yesterday. They are tied for third spot with five wins, two losses and a draw, but Trinity’s record is superior through a favourable for and against.

Catholic College Bendigo has won the right to be in the grand final – to be played at 11am today – while eight other schools including the locals will scrap for the right to face them.

Lavalla Catholic College has played eight games for three draws.
