Italo stars hoping for win

ITALO Stars will be hoping a lack of match-play for league leader Goonellabah could help trigger an upset when the two Lismore rivals meet at Weston Park, Goonellabah, tonight in Football FNC premier league soccer.

The Hornets will be playing their first game in almost a month after three wash-outs and are likely to be a little rusty.

In contrast, Stars have played three games in the same time, winning two and drawing one in a welcome return to form.

While Stars are still six points short of the top five, a win tonight could open the door to a late charge for the semis.

Kick-off is 8pm.
