Blue Hills holds swimming carnival

IT was smooth sailing at Blue Hills College’s swimming carnival at the Alstonville pool.

Kirk Rampton, 16, said that although he was not competing, he had enjoyed himself watching the others and playing his guitar.

“It’s good to have so many people dressing up for the occasion,” he said.

“I’ve been strolling around strumming and hopefully entertaining everyone.

“And it’s good to see teachers and students a bit more wacky than usual; that’s what days like this are all about.

“Carnivals are a great opportunity to socialise without the responsibilities of school.”
