Is this the GC's sexiest woman?

DESPITE the sea of sexiness which inhabits the beaches and streets of the Gold Coast, a Lismore-born woman has been selected as a finalist in a 2012 Sexiest Woman of the Gold Coast competition.

Part-time model and single mum Rachael Anderson has been selected as a wildcard entrant in the competition.

Ms Anderson will find out on Saturday whether she has made it into the top 20.

Born and raised in Lismore, Ms Anderson attended Lismore High School until Year 10 when she left to work as a pharmacy assistant.

She moved to the Gold Coast in 2007 and had her daughter Summah in 2008.

"Since being on the Gold Coast I have done a fair bit of promotional work, including the V8 Supercars, the World Rally and numerous nightclubs," she said.

"I heard they were looking for wildcard entries for the Gold Coast's sexiest people so I thought I would send through some photos and see what happened.

"This is a great opportunity to get my name out there and, who knows, some more modelling opportunities may come of it."

Ms Anderson plans on starting a fashion design course this year and would like to work in the fashion industry.
