Irrigators gain full entitlement

IRRIGATORS drawing from Toonumbar Dam near Kyogle will have access to 100 per cent of their entitlement after the NSW Office of Water announced water allocations for the new water year, which began yesterday.

The Richmond catchment has continued to receive rainfall since November, raising storage levels.

Inflows have been consistent since the start of 2010, with the dam currently at full capacity.

The continuing rainfall over recent years had seen the maintenance of full allocations, while the favourable coastal rainfall patterns have resulted in storage levels staying near capacity.

Information is available on the NSW Office of Water's website: www.water.nsw.gov.au.
