Investigation: Claim Anthony Watts bit player’s penis

GOLD Coast Rugby League officials will investigate claims that ex-NRL star and Finks nominee Anthony Watts bit a Bilambil player's penis during a first-half conflict at the Bycroft Cup preliminary final at Tugun yesterday.

News Limited reported the clash between Tugun and Bilambil players began when Watts - a Tugun player - pushed an opponent.

The player who made the allegation alerted match officials by pulling down his shorts during the conflict.

While the referee put the incident on report in the 39th minute, the Bilambil player did not proceed to lodge an official complaint.

Should any charges be laid, GCRL officials will rely solely on video footage.

Tugun won the match 31-10, qualifying them for the Bycroft Cup grand final.
