Innovation Pipeline Forum at Byron to encourage inventions

BYRON BAY inventor Ric Richardson will be the keynote speaker at a forum designed to give the next generation of inventors a head start towards commercial success.

The Innovation Pipeline Forum will be held on October 31 in Byron Bay and is being sponsored by Regional Development Australia - Northern Rivers and NSW Trade and Investment.

Mr Richardson gained international recognition when he sued Microsoft for infringing his patent for software activation and 'Try and Buy' software, and now serves as a mentor to many of the region's aspiring inventors and innovators.

Award-winning ABC journalist and broadcaster Kerry O'Brien will also be at the forum to host a Q & A-style panel where attendees will have the chance to have their questions answered by a panel of experts.

The event will also see the official launch of the 'Byron Hub', an online, wiki-based resource for inventors.

Places will be limited with preference given to regional inventors and innovators.

Early registration is essential. For more details visit rdanorthernrivers.org.au/news-and-events/inventors.
