THE Mullumbimby artist's beautiful pieces can't help but evoke an emotional response from the viewer.
One of the founding members of Revolutionary Ceramicos, Deborah is now showing her work at SCU next Gallery in Lismore until December 1, alongside Cassandra Purdon and Clare Urquhart.
All three artists are in their final year of an Advanced Diploma of Fine Arts (Ceramics) at Lismore TAFE.
The reference point for Deborah's current works was pioneering female painter and ceramicist Ellis Rowan, who was known as the 'Flower Hunter' and made adventurous trips into North Queensland and Papua New Guinea to paint.
"I was granted special permission to look through the archives of the Queensland Museum to gain inspiration from her work," Deborah said.
The iconic SCU next Gallery space in Magellan St was offered to the Lismore Art in the Heart project to enable a brief Pop Up exhibition to take place.
