SCU HSC study day gives inside tips to help you ace exams
IF YOU want to pass the HSC exams with flying colours, it's always good to get some hot tips.
Those were in good supply at Southern Cross University's HSC Study Day, with more than 600 students from across NSW turning up to hear them.
"We had 19 presenters, chosen because of their high level of knowledge and expertise related to their HSC subject area," School of Education deputy head, Associate Progressor Marilyn Chaseling, said.
"They include HSC senior markers, recent supervisors of marking, former members of exam committees, as well as teachers whose students have consistently achieved high HSC results."
Advice spanned 23 HSC subjects with experts zeroing in on particular questions or exam areas that students always found tricky.
Subjects ranged from English, Physics and Design to Advanced Mathematics, Society and Culture and Hospitality.
"The HSC Study Day is organised to enhance the knowledge, skills and confidence of our North Coast high school students," Ms Chaseling said.
The day also included general study sessions and feedback from the students was "wonderful", she said.
The day is a joint initiative of the University's School of Education, the NSW Department of Education and the Catholic Education Office at Lismore.
It was established in 2000.
