Immigration protesters shut down Parliament

A GROUP of protesters has shut down Federal Parliament by gluing their hands to the walls.

The Whistleblowers, Activists and Citizens Alliance has taken responsibility for the protest group, proudly Tweeting that they've disrupted the House of Representatives.

It's understood the group is concerned with Australia's immigration policy with its Twitter account using the hashtags close the camps and bring them here.

After they were prised off the walls of the House of Representatives the group were allowed to front the media.

They told the cameras they believed the parliament has become "undemocratic" and that this was the only course of action available to them.
