Iluka Woombah Rotary Family Fun Day in Support of Variety, the Children's Charity
The Iluka Woombah Rotary Club Family Fun Day, featuring a six event pig racing carnival, promises to be an hilarious and entertaining time for the whole family. The event is being held on Sunday January 10th, 2016 at the Iluka Bowls Club from 11am.
Graeme Lockyer, the club’s Activities Director said that, ‘There will be something for all the family including a jumping castle, and face-painting available all afternoon for the children. From 12-noon a succulent spit roast, sumptuous salads, and desert, can be washed down with a free drink, courtesy of the bowls club. The cost of the lunch is $20 per person for which you need to book’. Details are provided below.
The main event for everyone, however, will be the first visit to the Clarence Valley of, ‘Noah’s Thoroughbred Racing Pigs’. This will be a 6 race event in which the star piglets race around an obstacle course to reach their reward, a bowl of milk.
The Pig Whisperer’ exhorts the spectators to adopt a piglet – for a monetary consideration – and others to speculate on which piglet is likely to win. Depending on how well the Pig Whisperer does his job will directly affect the amount we can raise for Variety. Racing starts at approximately 1pm.
The aim of the Fun Day is to raise funds for the children’s charity, Variety. Graeme said that, ‘This important charity is a national not-for-profit organisation that helps Australian kids who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs.
‘We are seeking, Graeme added, ‘generous sponsors for the event who would like to take advantage of this opportunity. It would be great if we could have one sponsor for the whole day who would have naming rights for the event, the lunch, all races, and ‘saddle’ blankets for each piglet.
‘We are prepared,’ he said, ‘to accept separate sponsorships for each of these events’
A sponsorship package is available from Graeme Lockyer at 0427696845 or email@example.com. Lunch can also be booked by phone or email.
