Ice, dope seized, two caught in another Casino raid
DRUGS including ice and cannabis were seized when police raided a Casino home on Wednesday and arrested two men and a teenager.
Inspector Doug Conners of Casino police said ongoing investigations into drug supply at Casino by officers attached to strike force Hutchinson led to the raid.
Insp Conners said officers from the Richmond Target Action Group and Casino general duties police assisted detectives to conduct the search warrant at a Barker St address, seizing drugs with an estimated street value of $12,000.
"During the course of that search warrant police seized a quantity of methylamphetamine, commonly known as ice, as well as cannabis and cash."
Police arrested 23-year-old Steele Martin and 30-year-old Joshua Robinson at the scene and they were taken to Casino police station.
Martin was charged with supplying an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug; two counts of possessing a prohibited drug; and possessing equipment to administer a prohibited drug.
Robinson was charged with supplying an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug and drug possession.
"A 17-year-old youth at that address was also arrested but he has been released pending further inquiries."
Both men were refused bail and appeared at Lismore Local Court yesterday.
Robinson was granted conditional bail and Martin was refused bail to reappear in March.
Wednesday's arrests come after police seized methylamphetamine, cocaine and cash in a Casino raid on Tuesday.
