Man shot in NSW bushland while on fox hunting trip

A HUNTER has been shot while shooting foxes in NSW.

Police say two men were out fox hunting near Albury on Saturday afternoon when they decided to return to a homestead.

A 31-year-old allegedly picked up his rifle from the back seat of his car when it discharged a bullet.

The bullet hit his mate, a 32-year-old, in the knee.

The shot man was transported to hospital in a stable condition.
