TODAY 19 Year 12 students from Richmond River High School sat what was for many of them, their final HSC exam, Software Design and Development.

And they were thoroughly relieved that it was done.

One of them, 18-year-old Elenda Bone of Mullumbimby, said this last exam was possibly the hardest one she'd faced.

"It was a pretty long one," she admitted.

She said she had tried in the past weeks not to let the stress and pressure of the HSC get to her too much.

"Personally, I didn't get too hung up on it, I just did as much study as I could and then went in their and did my best."

"It's not the end of the world."

However she said it was definitely a relief to have finally finished all her exams.

"I won't feel guilty if I do anything other than study now!"

Elenda said that instead of the usual hardcore Schoolies partying that years before have relished in, she'll be taking her end of schooling celebrations to Woodford Folk Festival instead.

Next year Elenda said she plans on moving to Sydney with a friend and then go travelling for a year before hopefully studying beauty and make-up.
