Housing woes move into CBD

HOUSING affordability problems on the Northern Rivers are flowing into business and addressing them in Lismore will be an important step in revitilising the city’s CBD, a meeting this month will hear.

Lismore Chamber of Commerce has organised a workshop to look at the link between housing and business.

The workshop aims to identify blocks to affordable housing, particularly around Lismore, issues around housing, and opportunities to make housing more affordable.

It will also look at steps needed to attract city employees to live in Lismore.

The workshop will be held at the Lismore City Council Chambers, Oliver Avenue, Goonellabah, on Moday, July 18, from 3pm to 5.30pm.
