House Rules eviction trumps The Voice showdowns

HOUSE Rules continues to gain momentum, out-rating The Voice for the third time.

Last night's first elimination of the second season, which saw "Tassie devils" Brooke and Grant sent home, was the most-watched program of the night.

It beat the second instalment of The Voice showdowns by more than 350,000 viewers across the five metro cities, and attracted a huge national audience of 2.842 million viewers.

Last night's show, which also featured the unveiling of Bomber and Mel's renovated Adelaide home, is now the most-watched episode of House Rules beating last year's season one grand final.

But The Voice still dominated Sunday nights. The singing competition has been the most-watched program on Sundays since the current third season debuted in early May.

Seven's renovation show House Rules is from the makers of its more established ratings juggernaut, My Kitchen Rules.
