House fire puts woman in hospital

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after a house fire at Uralba today.

NSW Fire and Rescue and Rural Fire Service crews responded to the house fire on Uralba Cutting Road just after midday.

Police are also on scene. It’s believed the fire was contained to one part of the house.

A woman was transported to Ballina Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

RFS crews are still on scene.
