Hospital set to whet the fundraising appetites with high tea

THE tea is brewing and the cakes are in the oven ready for Lismore Base Hospital Auxiliary High Tea next weekend.

The High Tea is one of the biggest fundraisers for the Auxiliary, who spend all year fundraising through their hospital gift shop, market stalls, hospital cart, and fundraising events like this High Tea.

In the 2013-2014 financial year, the Lismore Base Hospital Auxiliary raised an outstanding $77,198 for the hospital.

This money went towards purchasing an Operating Theatre Headlight, CTG machine, Hi-Lo Beds and electric beds.

Each year the Auxiliary are given a 'wish list' from the hospital, secretary Sue Havilah explained - this list outlines what items and equipment the hospital patients would benefit from gaining.

Then the Auxiliary put in their blood, sweat and tears over the next 12 months to make that wish list a reality.

The Lismore Base Hospital Auxiliary will hold their High Tea next Saturday, September 13 at 2pm at the Lismore Baptist Church Hall, Uralba Street, Lismore.

Bookings are essential - Tickets are $20pp and can be purchased at the Pepper Tree Kitchen or the Lismore Base Hospital Gift Shop.
