Holly Tapp booted off The Voice

SOUTHERN Cross University student Holly Tapp's run on The Voice Australia has come to an end.

While stating on the show she is from the Northern Territory (where she was raised), Holly has been living in Byron Bay for the last six years, while studying a music degree at SCU.

Team Joel singer Holly took on Amy Winehouse's raw ballad 'You Know I'm No Good' earlier in the show, before being eliminated from the reality TV talent show.

At the beginning of her journey on The Voice, Holly told The Northern Star she loved living in Byron Bay.

"I really love living next to the sea and Byron offers a bigger music scene, which is perfect for me. I really love it here," she said.

"There is so much music talent in Byron and live gigs every night.

"Being in Byron is so central to the music culture."
