Sport and Recreation are coming to your rescue with a list of activities the kids will enjoy.

Sailing for Beginners (10-14 yrs)

A fun introductory opportunity for children to learn sailing with qualified instructors.

Lake Ainsworth Sport and Recreation Centre Monday April 15, 9am - 4pm Cost $55

Surf Clinic (Level 1) (8-15 yrs)

Learn about safe surfing, skill development, rips, currents and surfing etiquette.

Lake Ainsworth Sport and Recreation Centre Thursday 18 and Friday April 19, 9am - 4pm Cost $130

Surf Clinic (Level 2) (8-15 yrs)

If you have previously completed the Level 1 Surfing program and are looking to improve on your surfing skills, then come and join us as we take you through wave selection, turning and dismounting correctly, paddling and catching unbroken waves.

Lake Ainsworth Activity Day (7-13 yrs)

A fun filled day of activities which may include canoeing, swimming, archery, bike riding and much more at the beautiful Lake Ainsworth

Chill Cafe

Chill Cafe Youth Service has activities organised in Evans Head available for the town's youth, and youth from Coraki, Woodburn and Broadwater.

They include:

Monday, April 15: Barbecue at skatepark, 11am-3pm.

Tuesday, April 16: Drop in to the cafe, 9am-4pm, and tell them what you would like to do for the holidays.

Wednesday, April 17: Free surf lessons or canoeing, limited places, 10am-noon, Main Beach, sign-on at Chill.

Thursday, April 18: Drop in at cafe, 9am-7pm; Friday, April 19, Zorb ball and barbecue, , skate park, 11am-3pm. 5pm pool comp.

Monday, April 22: Free surf lessons or canoeing, limited places, 10am-noon, Main Beach, sign-on at Chill.

Tuesday, April 23: Drop in at the cafe, 9am-4pm.

Wednesday, April 24: Free Laser skirmish, Catholic Church grounds, starts noon.

Thursday, April 25: Closed for Anzac Day.

Friday, April 26: Drop in at cafe, 9am-7pm, 5pm pool comp.
