Holiday highway traffic eases

HEAVY holiday traffic on the Pacific Highway through Kempsey has eased.

Motorists travelling southbound are queued for two kilometres, which is adding around an extra 10 minutes to the journey.

There are no delays for motorists heading north through Kempsey.

But motorists are facing delays heading north on the Pacific Highway at Taree after a car accident.

One northbound lane is closed so motorists are advised to allow extra travel time through the area.

Last week queues on the highway at Tweed Heads got so bad it was taking motorists an hour to get through them.
