Is it a Holden? Is it a Ford? No, it's the Falcodore!

ONE Ipswich business has finally answered the eternal question of which is better, Holden or Ford - by creating a unique hybrid model appropriately dubbed the "Falcodore".

Half Ford Falcon and half Holden Commodore, the Falcodore was created by Bundamba Auto Wreckers after radio station River 94.9 issued them with the challenge.

Bundamba Auto Wreckers owner Dean Hawkins said they were excited to see if the task could actually be accomplished.

"With planning, it took us about four weeks to build," he said.

"It was really enjoyable seeing it all come together.

"When the two different colours went on it really made the change, that was a standout moment for me."

Mr Hawkins said the challenge helped to encourage community involvement with the business.

"We've had a lot of people come and have a look," he said.

"It's split right down the middle, it can drive but it can't be registered unfortunately.

"We're here for the community, we've been involved in a lot of local events before."

Although he enjoyed building the Falcodore, Mr Hawkins had to confess he was a Holden man himself.

"I do prefer Holdens," he said.

"But I'm proud of how the car turned out.

"If anyone from the community has anymore challenges for us like this one, we'd be happy to give it a go."
