Hogan: Attracting jobs is a priority for Lismore

JOBS, jobs and more jobs, is Federal Member for Page Kevin Hogan’s simple game plan for 2016.

Mr Hogan said cementing the electorate as an increasingly attractive option for businesses and boosting local employment was his focus for the new year.

“Put it this way; why would you live in West Sydney, when you could live here?” he asked.

“My focus is always to attract businesses here to create new jobs.

“Our area has many exciting opportunities with Free Trade Agreements opening up new export markets.

“The NBN will be rolled out around Lismore over the coming 12 months, providing new opportunities.”

Mr Hogan said projects, such as the Pacific Highway duplication, improvements to local roads, the development of the Lismore Art Gallery and hospital upgrades, would contribute.

The MP has set up a Job Strategy Group with local councils, Southern Cross University and Chambers of Commerce.
