Hockey juniors to hone their skills
TWO coaching clinics are taking place this week for FNC juniors aiming to improve their hockey skills.
The sessions are aimed at players aged 12 and under and will cover various key aspects of the sport, including passing, shooting and dribbling.
The first takes place at Alstonville's Gap Road playing fields on Tuesday night(4pm), with the second being held at the Ballina hockey turf in Bentinck Street at 4.30pm tomorrow.
Players can turn up to both sessions on the day and full equipment will be provided.

Meanwhile, anyone wanting to boost their coaching skills is invited to a helpful initiative.
The Level One Coaching Course is aimed at parents, players and general sports lovers interested in becoming future coaches.
Open to all, it will provide an initial first step for anyone seeking further accredited coaching qualifications.
Hockey NSW coaching director Warren Birmingham will oversee the event, which takes place at the Goonellabah turf's clubhouse in Oliver Street tonight.
It starts at 5.30pm and will assist anyone seeking a career in general sports coaching.
