Highway cut by floodwaters

THE Pacific Highway remains cut at three locations between Grafton and Kempsey due to flooding caused by a low pressure system off the east coast.

The Highway is still shut at Corindi, between Blackadder Road and Post Office Land, and at Macksville between Macksville and Nambucca Heads. The Highway is also shut at Kempsey.

Motorists are advised by the NSW Transport Management Centre to avoid all travel on the Highway between Port Macquarie and Nambucca Heads. They advise motorists to use the New England Highway.

There are also rural road closures around the Northern Rivers. Residents can check out www.myroadinfo.com.au for the latest information from councils.

Motorists are also reminded not to drive through flood waters.
