Highway delays after crash brought down powerlines

THERE are delays on the Pacific Highway this morning after a vehicle brought down powerlines, north of Woolgoolga on the Dirty Creek Range.

Emergency services and power utility crews remain on scene at the intersection of Flinty Rd at Corindi.

It is understood the vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a power pole around 7.30am. 

The driver was transported to Coffs Harbour Hospital by ambulance paramedics in a stable condition.

The crash initially blocked both lanes of the roadway.

Traffic is now being alternated around the scene through one lane of traffic.  

The NSW Transport Management Centre says although the accident is causing minimal disruption to traffic there are intermittent highway closures scheduled from 10.30am as the vehicle is salvaged.
