LAS VEGAS here we come.

Jason Burnett and Jennie Riley, of Lennox Head, have a new retail outlet for their handcrafted jewellery pieces in the newly-built Aria Casino in Las Vegas.

Riley Burnett's jewellery will be sold in one of the eight new shops in the casino complex, five of which will be jewellery shops.

Mr Burnett said Rachel Meyer, associate buyer for MGM Mirage Corporate, approached him to stock their pieces and invited him to the casino opening in December. He will head to Vegas for the first time later this year.

Ms Riley, the creative force of the team, will be staying at home with the couple's children. The bold and colourful one-off pieces of jewellery she creates have been worn by the likes of celebrities such as actor Winona Ryder, model Elle McPherson and news reader Sandra Sully.

When Mr Burnett and Ms Riley decided to settle in Lennox Head and leave the cold of Victoria behind, they had only 40 stockists for their jewellery.

Now they have more than 300 stockists across the world, including in the United Kingdom and the United States.

“Things have got serious in the last six months,” Mr Burnett said.
