Helicopter on the way to Ocean Shores crash

UPDATE: 1.30pm: A MAN who was trapped after a two car crash at Ocean Shore's has been freed from his car and is being treated by paramedics.

Shara Boulevard is blocked in both directions following the smash that occurred about 12.50pm.

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter has landed near the junction of Shara Boulevard and Tweed Valley Way.

Police are directing traffic around the crash scene.

The 50-year-old man, who was the driver of one of the cars, was taken by ambulance to the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter.

A 29-year-old man who was in the other car was treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries.

 

 

EMERGENCY services are on the scene of a car crash at Ocean Shores were two people are reportedly trapped.

The crash occurred just after 12.30pm on Shara Boulevard.

Police and paramedics are at the scene with further police vehicles responding.

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter has just taken off from the Lismore helibase, bound for Ocean Shores.

Shara Boulevard is blocked in both directions.
