Registration for Westpac Helicopter walk now open
WHAT could be more fun than dressing up with your friends and going for a walk along the pristine coastline to raise money for charity?
If that sounds appealing, registrations are now open for the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter's annual Byron Bay to Ballina Coastal Charity Walk.
Now in its fourth year, participants can register to finish at either Broken Head (12kms), Lennox Head (24kms) or walk right through to Ballina (35kms).
Helicopter fundraising manager Zeke Huish encouraged everyone to get involved.
"It's one of the most beautiful walks in our region with participants often commenting that the scenery helps to take their minds off some of the body aches as they journey down the coast," he said.
"This is a major fundraising event for the rescue helicopters and we are encouraging participants to consider going in fancy dress for an added laugh".
The walk is being held on May 31, with registrations closing on the May 20.
