Helicopter crashes near Kyogle

THE Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service has located the occupants of a helicopter which crashed on the New South Wales/Queensland border, northwest of Kyogle.

Three men aged in their 30s and 40s were on board the helicopter when it crashed in Mount Barney National Park, north of Woodenbong, about 2pm today.

The pilot of a Robinson helicopter reported the crash on his mobile phone.

None of the men were taken to hospital and have been transferred to Woodenbong to speak to police.
