HOW hungry do you need to be to eat a burger like this?

Tommy's Tavern in Lismore has put the Heart Stopper burger on their menu and people are starting to notice.

With two pieces of 200gm beef or chicken, lettuce, beetroot, cheese, tomato, fried onion rings and an egg all served on a Turkish bun, it's a hamburger that's hard to get your mouth around.

Tommy's chef Mark Loh said the inspiration for the Heart Stopper burger came from a kitchen he worked at in Malaysia.

He said he can custom make the massive burger to order with either 200 gram beef patties or 200 gram chicken breasts.

"On Wednesday a guy came in and ordered a Heart Stopper with three meat patties," he said.

"He didn't finish it."

Staff at Tommys said most people who ordered the Heart Stopper struggled to finish the huge burger.
