Heart attack kills shocked survivor of crash

ONE of three survivors of a car crash in India that killed five Australians has died of a heart attack in hospital after learning his two daughters and three grandchildren were dead.

Adelaide restaurant owner Rupendra Datta (pictured) and his wife Anamika were travelling with family to the Taj Mahal on Sunday when their car overturned and was hit by oncoming traffic.

NK Paliwal survived - as did Mr Datta, 48, and the driver of the hire car - but died after hearing the extent of the tragedy.

Mr Datta is recovering in hospital.
