Boy, 15, missing since Monday

BALLINA police have issued a public plea for assistance in locating a teenaged boy who has been missing from his Wollongbar home since Monday.

Fifteen-year-old Brandan Parkes has not been seen since 11pm on Monday night when he was last with his family.

Since then he has not been at school or contacted family or friends to let them know of his whereabouts or wellbeing.

Ballina police supervisor Sergeant Matt Johnson said police were continuing their inquiries but had exhausted all leads at this stage.

“There have been no sightings at this stage and we are subsequently very concerned for the boy’s welfare,” he said.

Police believe Brandan could be in the company of another teenage boy.

They said it was out of character for him to be away from home for this long and not make contact with his family.

Brandan is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a fair complexion, about 152cm tall with a slim build, short brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with any information is urged to call Ballina Police Station on 6681 8699 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
