Golfing legend injures hand in chainsaw accident

GOLFING legend Greg Norman has revealed through Instagram that he has accidentally injured his left hand while using a chainsaw. 

Mr Norman, 59, is currently in hospital recovering after the accident.

The golfer took to Instagram to post a photo of himself in his hospital bed and is so far receiving well wishes and prayers from his fans and loved ones. 

The caption on the photo read "Working with a chainsaw ALWAYS be respectful of the unexpected. I was one lucky man today. Damaged, but not down & out. Still have left hand."

Update: A previous version of this story stated that he had lost his hand entirely based on his comments on Instagram. The story has been revised.
