Goals galore in soccer match

IT was the clash of the season in Far North Coast premier league soccer so far and, not for the first time, Goonellabah and Byron Bay produced a flood of goals at Byron Bay.

This time Goonellabah won 6-4 to open up a five-point margin at the top of the ladder and firm as the premiership favourites.

The Hornets are the only undefeated team after five rounds.

Other winners at the weekend were Pottsville and defending premiers Richmond Rovers, while there were draws between Thistles and Workers and between Alstonville and Italo Stars.
