Girl, 13, in custody after fight

A 13-YEAR-OLD girl was last night being held in police custody after being involved in a fight and breaching bail conditions on other charges.

Richmond Local Area Command police have reported on their Facebook page the young Goonellabah girl was involved in a fight with another girl at Molesworth Street, Lismore, about 6.45pm last night.

Police took the 13-year-old home and were told the girl had breached her bail conditions. When they told her they would have to take her to the police station she attacked one of the officers and hit the officer on the side of the head.

The girl was charged with assaulting police and with breach of bail. She was refused bail and last night remained in custody.
