GETTING stuck in an elevator is bad enough.

Having a mysterious ghost-like girl seemingly appear out of nowhere and scream at you is even worse.

A video prank from a popular Brazilian variety program has gone viral.

The original clip has had more than 3.8 million views on YouTube since Sunday.

The 6 minute and 44 second video shows various people riding an elevator one after another before the ride unexpectedly stops and the lights flicker off.

Unbeknownst to them, a small girl in a white dress with dirty hair holding a baby doll enters the elevator via a side panel.

When the lights come back on the girl is standing there.

She then stares at her victim and lets out a blood curdling scream.

One man even appears to faint in the ordeal.

What's the most frightening prank you've done to someone else or had done to you?
